Welcome to the Home of Alabama Dobermann Rescue!

Alabama Doberman Rescue (ADR) is a non-profit, charitable organization whose primary mission is to give abandoned Doberman's a second chance at finding a loving, stable and suitable forever home.

We also educate potential adopters, as well as the general public, about the Doberman breed, Doberman myths, the importance of spaying/neutering, puppy mill awareness and the benefits of training classes. We do this in an attempt to decrease the number of unwanted Doberman's.

Our Doberman's come to us from shelters and/or turned over to us by their owners who are no longer able or willing to care for them.

Prior to placement, each Doberman's temperament is evaluated to the best of our ability, they are spayed/neutered, heart worm tested and treated if necessary, vaccinated and taught basic obedience and manners.

We attempt to create the best match between our Doberman's and the adoptive home based on our evaluations.

Our organization also networks with several other rescues and shelters. We will always assist other organizations when possible.

Please take the time to meet our available dogs,
get familar with our policies and procedures, and learn about ADR

Can't adopt right now but want to help?

We are always looking for volunteers who love Doberman's as much as we do and want to make a difference. Opportunites are available to become a foster home, aid in transporting dogs, conducting telephone screening and home visits of potential adopters, fundraising, etc.

or is there something not listed here that you feel could be helpful to our dogs, CONTACT US.
